Do I have to have a TypePad blog to get a profile?

What if someone signs up and spoofs my identity?

While we can’t guarantee that people won't go to great lengths to try to spoof identities, we have a number of solutions in place that will help verify identity. Considering that most commenting today allows you to easily enter any name or URL in commenting fields, we're certain that TypePad will provide a positive alternative.  Also, by updating your profile with a photo, links to your online accounts, and filling out the “About Me” section you can establish that you’re really you.

Does TypePad support OpenID authentication?

Will TypePad continue to support the TypeKey API?

Yes. You can learn more about the TypeKey API in our Knowledge Base.  You can now access your TypeKey API token through the dashboard used to manage your comments with TypePad Connect and edit your profile. Sign in, click on "Account" in the top navigation bar, and click on the TypeKey API link.

What is OpenID?

OpenID is a simple way for you to sign in to tens-of-thousands of sites around the web, without having to create a new username and password. Instead of the traditional process of providing a username and password, you login with your existing "OpenID," which is simply URL (or web address) to a profile, blog or other service that supports the OpenID specification.  Your TypePad account can be used as an OpenID.

Will TypePad sell my data?
